TBR Football understands that Joao Felix leaving for AC Milan would significantly boost Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of landing Noah Okafor on transfer deadline day.
Tottenham are looking to bring in a forward and another defender on deadline day and one of those targets for the front line is the AC Milan winger.
The Italian club are currently working on a deal to sign Chelsea forward Joao Felix and if they land him, Spurs’ move for the Swiss international would become a lot more likely.
Richarlison’s display against Brentford highlighted the North London club’s need to bring in a new attacker before today’s deadline and that could still happen.
Tottenham keen on Noah Okafor
Tottenham are keen on AC Milan winger Noah Okafor and his situation is one to follow closely today, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
Okafor joined Milan in the summer of 2023 for around £11 million, however, the 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself at the San Siro.
He has made just five starts in Serie A this season and the Rossoneri would be open to letting him leave if they can get a deal for Felix over the line.
But Ange Postecoglou’s side are now running out of time to bring in a forward which could be a disaster given Dominic Solanke is sidelined with a knee injury for several weeks.
Tottenham join the hunt for Joao Felix but he is pushing to join AC Milan
TBR Football understands that Joao Felix has told Chelsea he would like to join AC Milan – talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in last 24 has pushed their case.
Tottenham have joined Aston Villa in the hunt, whilst Manchester United have also been kept abreast of the situation after making enquiries last week.
The West London club want a permanent deal or loan with obligation for the Portugese international – but his people are now locked in talks to try and get them to take a straight loan, maybe with an option.
Felix’s camp are hopeful they will agree as Chelsea would rather he left the Premier League.
