Square Enix, the legendary video game publisher behind the popular Final Fantasy series, announced Thursday it was ending support for the iOS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. The company said there is an unresolvable bug that’s preventing players from accessing additional content they purchased, so the company is pulling the plug on the game.
“We are unable to completely fix the bug and implement the new changes, making it unlikely to resume service for the game,” the company wrote in a statement. “We must regretfully announce that we will end support for the iOS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.”
The company said it began receiving customer complaints on Jan. 24, and the game has been pulled from Apple’s App Store. If you purchased the game or any additional content for the game since the beginning of 2024, the company said you are eligible for a refund.
