TBR Football can exclusively reveal that West Ham United made a stunning move to sign Real Madrid youngster Endrick during the January transfer window.
Graham Potter saw two arrivals at West Ham on deadline day, who were both familiar faces for different reasons.
James Ward-Prowse returned early from his loan at Nottingham Forest and Potter was also reunited with Evan Ferguson who joined on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Ferguson’s arrival will be particularly welcomed by fans in east London, an exciting striker who is ready to prove why he’s so highly regarded.
That being said, Ferguson might have been joined by Endrick in an ideal world at London Stadium, an audacious move by David Sullivan’s side.
West Ham wanted to sign Endrick from Real Madrid but both parties said no
Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football, understands that West Ham tried to sign Endrick from Real last month.
TBR shared news in January that Premier League sides were interested in Endrick, and contact had been made with Real about the youngster’s situation.

Now, we can exclusively confirm that West Ham were one of the clubs who tried to land the 18-year-old and made contact with the Spanish giants.
The Hammers also made contact with Endrick’s representatives, however, their approach fell flat.
Unfortunately for West Ham, Real insisted that they had no desire to allow Endrick to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
In addition, the Brazilian was also very clear that he had no desire to leave Carlo Ancelotti’s side either.
The Hammers moved on from Endrick as a result and West Ham had a bid rejected for Jhon Duran, as well failing to see moves materialise for Brian Brobbey and Ricardo Pepi before managing to sign Ferguson.
Carlo Ancelotti completely convinced about Endrick’s potential
Just like West Ham, Real boss Ancelotti seems to be absolutely won over by Endrick’s potential.
Speaking back in August last year at his press conference following Endrick’s debut, in which he scored, the Italian claimed that his young forward had ‘huge potential’.
Ancelotti said: “Endrick looks really promising, with huge potential. In that goal, he showed all his qualities — he’s fast, has great control, and packs a powerful shot.
“That’s his thing. He’s a proper striker, especially dangerous in tight spaces.”
A superb young talent, but unfortunately one who won’t be gracing the Premier League with West Ham any time soon as things stand.
