TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Manchester United have leapt into action following Mathys Tel’s decision to snub Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United are after new forwards in wake of Antony’s loan switch to Real Betis and uncertainty over the futures of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have been pushing hard for Tel in recent days, with Daniel Levy flying to Munich for face-to-face talks with Tel and his agent.
However, Tel told Spurs that he wasn’t interested in joining them, which has blown the race for the Bayern Munich star wide open.
Now, Man United have moved quickly in pursuit of Tel, though other Premier League clubs remain on the case.

Manchester United present ‘attractive option’ to Mathys Tel
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has been told that Manchester United are presenting Mathys Tel with an attractive option to play straight away.
In addition, the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Chelsea all held talks and put their plans to him regarding a January move.
Tel was previously unsure about a move to Chelsea, but the Stamford Bridge club has not fully backed away yet.
The 19-year-old, who has decided to leave Bayern this summer, is set to continue to take his time over which club he will join next.
What Tel could bring to Man United
Man United haven’t been particularly prolific in front of goal in the Premier League this season, with 28 top-flight goals to their name.
In addition, uncertainty over the futures of Rashford and Garnacho, plus Antony’s departure, means the club is open to bringing in reinforcements.
Should Man United land Tel, they’d be signing one of the most talented young players in European football.
His lack of game time this season means he hasn’t managed to build momentum, but he has made 83 competitive appearances for the club.
Tel has been an important squad member for Bayern for two-and-a-half years now, which is no mean feat considering he’s still just 19 years old.

The official Bundesliga website previously likened Tel to Real Madrid and France superstar Kylian Mbappe.
They also deemed him an ‘accomplished forward with oodles of pace, dazzling ball skills and a knack for curling spectacular strikes with his cultured right boot’.
In addition, Football Talent Scout‘s Jacek Kulig has compared Tel to Thierry Henry.
Kulig also deemed him a “complete forward” as well as a “well-rounded player who has all the qualities to play on many other positions and attacking roles”.
